Infobip, a Croatia-based global omnichannel communications platform, expanded rapidly across continents and reached a point where its finance structure could no longer keep pace with the scale and complexity of its operations.
What worked in earlier stages began to limit visibility, coordination, and speed of decision-making. Leadership needed a finance platform that could support continued global growth without slowing operations.
By implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Infobip established a centralized finance foundation that delivers real-time insight, standardized governance, and local accountability across more than 90 countries.
Infobip is a global omnichannel communications platform that enables businesses to engage customers across messaging, voice, email, and other digital channels worldwide. The company supports enterprises such as Uber, Coca-Cola, Meta, Slack, Google, and Bolt.
Founded in 2006, the organization now operates with more than 3,500 employees across over 75 offices worldwide and 41 data centers spanning Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. In 2025, Infobip secured a 520-million-dollar senior secured financing facility to support its next phase of international expansion.
This level of growth required financial control that matched operational complexity.
As expansion accelerated, finance processes evolved independently across regions. Accounting activities were distributed across multiple countries and often supported by external providers. Core finance operations remained centralized, while local teams relied on headquarters for daily support.
At global scale, this model created structural friction. Different accounting structures across entities made consolidation more complex. Cash flow tracking relied heavily on manual processes. There was no automated connection between invoices and payments, and visibility into open and settled transactions was delayed.
Finance teams were fully occupied with operational tasks, yet leadership lacked timely, consolidated insight.
Infobip therefore defined a clear objective: create a unified finance architecture that enables global transparency while strengthening local autonomy.
Infobip evaluated potential solutions based on clearly defined criteria. The new platform had to support complex multi entity structures, ensure compliance across jurisdictions, integrate with existing business systems, and scale efficiently in the cloud.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance met these requirements and was selected as the foundation for future finance operations.
“As a fast-growing and constantly evolving organization, we needed an ERP system that could keep up with us. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations turned out to be a very good fit. Its flexibility and broad standard functionality give us the structure we need, while still allowing us to adapt processes as our business changes.”
Maja Cvetko, Head of MS Dynamics 365 Finance and Power Platform at Infobip
The initial Go-live took place in early 2020. From the beginning, the focus was on long term scalability rather than short term system replacement.
Following successful adoption, Infobip centralized procurement processes and rolled out Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance to more than 90 additional countries within approximately 18 months.
With Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance in place, Infobip achieved:
Finance moved from a reactive reporting function to a structured platform supporting strategic decision making.
Maja Cvetko highlights the impact:
“We’re glad our partner introduced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance to us and helped us establish a strong foundation. Since then, the system’s configurability has allowed our internal technology and business teams to take real ownership. Today, we manage and continuously improve the solution largely in house, which is important for a company operating at our speed.”
Infobip’s experience reflects a situation many fast-growing technology companies recognize. International expansion increases structural complexity. Without a unified finance foundation, transparency declines and manual effort increases.
By redesigning its finance architecture around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Infobip demonstrates that financial control does not have to slow innovation when it is designed to scale from the outset.
As Maja Cvetko, explains:
“Overall, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance provides a strong foundation that supports our growth and gives us confidence that our ERP can evolve together with the business.”
Organizations that address structural gaps early gain timely insight for better decision-making, create transparency without added bureaucracy, and build a foundation that supports global scale without repeatedly redesigning their finance structure.
At BE-terna, we support technology and professional services companies operating across multiple countries in building finance platforms that match their growth ambitions.
We combine finance architecture design, structured rollout governance, and practical implementation experience. Our goal is clear: ensure finance becomes a reliable foundation for growth, not a constraint.
