Ensar: What is the job of an Application Consultant like?

When and why did you join BE-terna as an Application Consultant, what initially drew you to the company?

I joined BE-terna in August 2019. My BE-terna story started at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana at the 'Delo me(ne) išče' job fair. I met a couple of the BE-terna employees, who were very friendly and had a lot of positive energy. I had the same impression after my job interviews, which in addition to all the perks strongly influenced my decision to become a part of BE-terna.

What is the job of Application Consultant like at BE-terna? What is a typical day like for you?

As an Application Consultant at BE-terna, my typical day includes analysing customers’ requirements, testing developed functionalities, preparing documentation for customers and participating in team meetings. Occasionally, the job includes visiting customers at their premises and doing analysis, presenting functionalities or training users.

What are the pros and cons of being an Application Consultant?

The pros of being an Application Consultant include the opportunity to gain a lot of new knowledge, meet new people at different companies, learn about business processes in companies from diverse business areas, and also being involved in international projects. On the other hand, this job sometimes requires a lot of effort and patience in order to manage all the required activities for ERP implementation.

What does it take to be an Application Consultant?

To be a successful Application Consultant you should be proactive, communicative, honest and ready to collaborate with co-workers and clients.

Who would you recommend BE-terna as an employer to?

I would recommend BE-terna as an employer to someone who is ambitious, interested in IT, likes working in a team in a dynamic environment and is looking to acquire new knowledge.
