Energija Plus d. o. o. is a Slovenian energy supplier based in Maribor. As a member of the HSE Group, it provides electricity, natural gas, and modern energy solutions to both households and businesses across Slovenia. With a strong focus on sustainability, reliability, and efficient energy use, the company continues to adapt to evolving market demands.
As Energija Plus expanded its operations, outdated analytics tools slowed decision-making. By modernizing Qlik Sense alongside an SAP S/4HANA migration, the company created a faster, unified reporting environment—empowering smarter decisions across the business.
The energy market has undergone rapid transformation in recent years. Energija Plus redefined its customer segments and shifted its analytical focus to profit and cost centers, as well as to comparisons between planned and historical data.
The existing analytical environment could no longer support these evolving requirements, and the concurrent migration to SAP S/4HANA presented an ideal opportunity to modernize the BI landscape.

The Qlik Sense modernization project ran in parallel with the SAP migration, requiring close coordination between teams. Management clearly defined the role of each system:

Looking forward, Energija Plus and BE-terna will continue strengthening the analytical foundation built during this modernization. The next steps include expanding the data model with additional sources such as CRM, enhancing user competencies further, and supporting the broader rollout within the HSE Group. After the implementation of the solution within the HSE Group, the number of metering points will double, and consequently also the volume of processed data. Both teams remain focused on continuous improvement to ensure the solution evolves in line with future business needs and market dynamics.
By modernizing its Qlik Sense environment alongside the SAP S/4HANA upgrade, Energija Plus has achieved unified analytics, faster reporting, and quicker, more confident decision-making—enhancing business performance at every level.
