Camille works in our Innsbruck marketing department. She is a real digital marketing star and is originally from Belgium. Even though she loves Belgian fries and "Garnalen" she decided to move to Tyrol for love.
Camille, you are from Belgium. How did you end up in Tyrol, Austria?
I was born and raised in Belgium, where I worked at a digital marketing agency. As people say:
Love happens unexpectedly.
So, in 2020 I went for skiing vacation in Tyrol, and I fell in love with my Tyrolian boyfriend...right before the first lockdown. With all the
travel restrictions and rules at that time, I decided to stay for good. Finding a job
here was a natural consequence. Since December 2021 I am part of the BE-terna marketing
team in Innsbruck and mainly responsible for all things digital marketing.
How did you become a professional in digital marketing?
My educational background started with a bachelor's degree in communication management.
I finished my studies with a master’s in digital marketing & CRM in Lille, France. Afterwards, I started working as a digital performance marketeer, at an agency.
What would your team, friends and family say about you?
I believe
my colleagues would say:
- She has as a funny accent
- Snacks a lot
- Likes
to get things done.
Tell us about your hobbies.
In my spare time, you can either find me at the stable with my horse Roxy,
running or spending time with family and friends.
What does your usual work-day look like?
At BE-terna, I am responsible for all topics related to digital marketing. That means that my days usually consist of following up on running campaigns, supporting my team with creating digital campaigns, collaborating with agencies, working on marketing strategies, reporting and conversion tracking, social media planning and improving our website. At BE-terna, our online marketing channels are well set-up, which allows me to try out new things or improve current campaigns.
What are the pros and cons about your job?
I get to work with a lot of different teams, such as our different business lines, but also the HR team and external partners. In recent years BE-terna has grown rapidly and we are now a team of over 1000 employees. This requires a lot of alignment with the different parties when it comes to project management. This aspect is a pro and a con at the same time. It makes processes slightly more complicated. Still, it makes my work diverse, and I can learn a lot in this international setting.
What were the most drastic changes for you working at BE-terna and living in Tyrol?
BE-terna is a lot bigger compared to my previous workplace. In the beginning it took some time to figure out the variety of products and industry specializations. However, what I appreciate the most is the kindness at the office and the open communication-style in general.
With the typical “Grias-di, Griaß-enk, Griaß-eich & Servus” greetings here in Tyrol, it feels a bit like a “small town” atmosphere within our international Innsbruck office.
Professionally, where do you want to be in 5 years? What are your future plans?
Digital
Marketing is a very fast paced and ever-changing area. So, I am always busy
learning about the latest news and updates to further improve BE-terna's online
presence, campaigns and marketing actions. Maybe in 5 years, we have a small
internal digital marketing team that works together on a global level, in which
I could share my knowledge in digital marketing and the B2B-sector.
To whom would you recommend BE-terna as an employer?
If you are
looking for a B2B marketing challenge, if you are interested in digitalization
and technological innovation. I
f you like to work on an international level
with a lot of cultures, and if you can handle our team’s sarcasm &
humor on a daily basis?
Then don’t hesitate and drop us an e-mail! We would love to hear from you!
