He combines everyday family chaos with customer workshops – and a passion for both ERP and electric guitar. In this interview, he shares his journey to BE-terna, what drives him in problem-solving, and what day-to-day life looks like as a Solution Consultant.
I live in Halmstad with my wife and our two young children. Family comes first, of course, but my big passion outside of work is music. I’ve been playing guitar since I was little, and these days I write, produce, and play in bands.
I also enjoy working out and cooking. Snowboarding is a favorite when winter arrives!
I have a terrible sense of direction. Sometimes I even have to ask my kids for help, and Google Maps is probably my most-used app.
I also like watching Air Crash Investigation when I get some alone time – it's a documentary series that follows investigations of various aviation incidents. Super nerdy, but incredibly fascinating.
It actually started quite hands-on. I worked at a factory in my hometown in Västergötland where I began with some basic purchasing admin tasks. That quickly evolved into a broader role in planning. I realized I really enjoyed the analytical side of things – but also the creativity in improving and developing processes.
I continued studying and tried out different industries and roles. ERP quickly became a core tool in my work, and over time I became increasingly interested in it. Then an opportunity came up at BE-terna.
My job is to support the customer from needs analysis to implementation of F&SCM. During the analysis phase, we run workshops and dig deep into their business processes. That means collaborating with a wide variety of people and groups – curiosity is key!
Together, we define an ERP setup that we refine and test until we achieve a solid result. So the role is broader than just being a software expert – understanding people and business processes is just as important.
A typical day might include preparing a flow for a demo, joining internal project meetings, and running a workshop with a customer. I also try to carve out some time to stay up to date with new platform functionality.
Over the past year, I’ve grown more and more interested in Business Intelligence, so I’m looking forward to expanding my skills in Power BI and Microsoft’s data warehousing solutions.
The most rewarding part is problem-solving. When you’re facing complex requirements and manage to turn that into a solution that creates real value for the customer – that’s a great feeling. It takes analytical ability, curiosity, and a positive mindset.
The job description sounded really interesting – working with supply chain and ERP, but from a different perspective than I was used to, along with the continuous learning the role offers.
But it’s the culture that’s made me stay. We have an open atmosphere, we have fun together, and we collaborate closely regardless of whether we’re based in Sweden, Germany, or Croatia. It’s a flat organization where you’re empowered to shape your own role.
I really appreciate how personal development is encouraged – through internal courses, certifications, and learning from others in our projects.
Go for it! If you enjoy working with business processes, technology, and people, then you’ll thrive here. The Solution Consultant role is varied, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. You get the chance to grow every day – while being part of a really great team.
