Weitzer Parkett – market leader in Austria and a leading European producer of parquet flooring – also insists on top quality for its business software. With Infor M3, Weitzer Parkett is attaining greater efficiency and a higher degree of automation in planning and production while raising employee productivity. Early in 2014, Weitzer Parkett opted to implement Infor M3 as the central element in a company-wide programme of innovation.

Maximum utilisation, minimal costs

After an implementation period of just six months, Weitzer Parkett successfully activated Infor M3 to cover the core functions of sales, planning, production, logistics and purchasing in August 2014. In the course of the project, special attention was paid to detailed production scheduling, an area in which Weitzer Parkett uses the advanced planning tool Scheduling Workbench (SWB). The tool creates an ideal production plan that takes account of all resource shortfalls and utilises all systems to full effect while minimising costs. For Weitzer Parkett, deploying all features of Infor M3 to enhance user productivity was a high priority. For example, Weitzer uses M3 Workflows to ensure core processes are simpler, more transparent and run with a greater degree of automation.

Working with our partner BE-terna, our key users and the IT team finalised the ERP project on time and within budget to a high standard – which is not always the case with IT projects. Infor M3 is now a key element in our IT environment and central to our innovation programme
says Robert Jaindl, IT manager at Weitzer Parkett.
