• Lead and develop regional accounting teams in Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia, fostering alignment, knowledge sharing, and high-quality delivery
• Oversee all accounting operations across the region including preparation, posting, and reconciliation of all accounting transactions (e.g. GL, AR, AP, revenue recognition, cost and project accounting)
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings, as well as all high-quality statutory and group internal financial reporting in line with Group and shareholder requirements
• Secure full compliance with local tax, financial, and legal requirements in all covered countries
• Coordinate and support annual financial audits, tax audits and internal audits
• Monitor liquidity and maintain communication with banks
• Drive process improvement, standardization, and automation of accounting workflows in close cooperation with the Group
• Act as the primary regional interface to Group Finance & Accounting for accounting topics and reporting requirements
• Act as a trusted sparring partner to management, providing accounting-related insights and recommendations including the identification of financial and compliance risks

#yoursuperpowers

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economy, or a related field
• Strong understanding of accounting regulations, tax requirements, and financial reporting standards
• Proven experience in leading accounting teams and managing regional or multi-country accounting operations
• Experience with preparing financial statements and coordinating audits
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solution-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Office skills
• Very good communication skills and the ability to work across cultures
• Strong command of English (written and spoken)
• At least 5–7 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally including a leadership role
