I am from Cisternino, a little town in south of Italy. I studied economics in Italy, and then started working 2018 in Milan as a Dynamics 365 F&O Consultant in the IT consulting company Capgemini. There I worked for two and a half years and then I joined Schindler, a market leader in the elevators sector. In Schindler I was a part of the Dynamics Competence center team.
In both companies I worked as a F&O Consultant/Business analyst in the supply chain area. Despite my life in Italy, I felt like I needed new adventures. Therefore me, my wife and my dog decided to move to Aarhus, in Denmark, earlier this year.
I define myself as a proactive person and I think that working in a team is a key factor of personal success, both at work and in the daily life. In my free time I love watching and playing any kinds of sports, especially paddle which recently has become a very popular racket sport.
Surely not for the weather haha! There are several reasons. I decided to move to Denmark with my wife that also found a job here. She knew Danish culture from before because of her studies in Denmark and she was missing the “hygge” (comfort) atmosphere.
Secondly, it is an amazing opportunity for me to grow professionally in an international environment. Also facing different challenges that I never would have faced if I stayed in my comfort zone.
Lastly but not least, work-life balance in Denmark is good. If I think about the future, I see myself in an environment where you can be very flexible with working hours in order to being able to spend more time with my family instead.
I was looking for job opportunities on Linkedin and I applied for BE-terna. I had already heard about the company, and I knew they were specialized on Microsoft products, mainly F&O. Lately Microsoft is becoming more and more of an integrated ecosystem. Working at a company that has different projects and people with different competences, from Dynamics to Power BI and Power apps, it is an amazing opportunity for my career.
I work as Solution Consultant for Microsoft Dynamics 365 FO in the supply chain area. I joined the company two months ago on April 1st and I am working on an interesting D365 F&O implementation project for an important Swedish chain of retail stores. I am currently writing functional design documents to meet the business requirements in the supply chain business area.
Besides this project, I am also studying to get a Microsoft Certification in D365 Supply chain area!
In hindsight, what are your thoughts in regards to having a remote recruitment process?
For me the recruitment process went really smoothly. I really appreciated the fact that my manager during one of the video-call interviews also showed me the office where I would potentially work 😊
In the next months I will be taking Danish lessons, but I have to say that everyone in the office welcomed me very well and they all speak English to me. When working and having meetings, the language that the company mostly use is English, so communicating that way is no problem at all.
Reliable, flexible and passionate.
My main goal is to to learn as much as possible from my colleagues that have more experience than me! My everyday goal is to always work with quality and passion in all activities or tasks.
