After conducting intense market research and holding an extensive selection process, Eisbär Sportmoden GmbH ultimately opted for the BE-Fashion industry solution based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Software on an IBM AS/400 system, Access applications and a multitude of Microsoft Excel documents were replaced. The new solution was to cover the entire textile value creation chain from production to distribution of hats, supplemented by ranges of jumpers and headbands.
In addition to its own collections, Eisbär also develops order-related customer collections. Eisbär’s customer base includes wholesalers and retailers. The ERP project was launched in mid-2014. All the project phases had already been properly completed within a record time of six months, and BE-Fashion went into operation in December 2014 without any problems whatsoever.
The sector solution, which is based on the Microsoft Dynamics ERP platform, ticks all the boxes when it comes to a modern, internationally proven system. Today, all of Eisbär’s business processes – from product development, purchasing, sales and warehouse logistics, to production and shipping – are mapped in an integrated manner. Consistent EDI functionality significantly speeds up data exchange with business partners. With the Fashion Analytics OLAP cube, timely, meaningful analyses can be generated from any division within the company, so decisions can be made far more reliably. The solution also gained a high level of acceptance among Eisbär’s employees, as the company largely works in the Windows world, with familiar and uniform operability. Accordingly, the training period was short and straightforward.
What made the optimised ERP project possible was consistent alignment with the standard processes within Microsoft Dynamics NAV and the BE-Fashion sector solution, not to mention the smooth cooperative relationship between Tyrol Equity AG (the holding company, which recently became the owner of Eisbär Sportmoden GmbH), the Eisbär team and BE-terna as a software supplier and service provider.

Eisbär Sportmoden GmbH was established in 1953 in Feldkirchen an der Donau (Austria), where it produces high-quality sports hats and jumpers.
